DURATION OF THE PROJECT: September 2022 – May 2023
SHORT DESCRIPTION:
The main objective of the project
is to allow young children, who are beginning to learn English, to meet new
friends in Europe and interact with them by communicating in English.
This project
aims to contribute to the early development of English language skills and
foster active and meaningful learning experiences, integrating curriculum
content and developing collaborative work and interaction among our young
learners using, namely, digital tools.
By opening
the classroom to Europe, this project aims to contribute to the development of
the spirit of European citizenship and to the global development of children by
promoting various skills and values.
AIMS:
- Use
the English Language in real and meaningful contexts;
- Get
to know friends from other countries;
- Develop
language skills (writing, speaking, listening and reading);
- Develop
social skills;
- Promote
collaborative work;
- Motivate
for values such as respect for others, tolerance, mutual help, solidarity and
citizenship
- Foster
the awareness of a European identity;
- Share
cultural experiences, customs and traditions;
- Promote
digital literacy to access knowledge in context;
- Bolster pupils’ motivation in the learning process.
